Hardware and Lumber Store Gets a New Polished Concrete Floor in Just 14 Days

Niehaus Lumber is a hardware and lumber store in Indiana and Illinois. Their Vincennes location was in need of a store remodel, and was looking to give their floors a refreshed look. The store originally had a combination of vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring and carpet that needed to be removed so the concrete could be polished.

QuestMark was able to work with Niehaus Lumber to ensure minimal interruption to their everyday business operations. Our crews began by installing proper safety equipment and cleaning the jobsite of debris to ensure a safe workspace. The crews then prepared the floor by utilizing our grinding process. Then, a grout coat was squeegeed on to the prepared surface to assist in filling small holes or defects in the floors.

Finally, after the floors were prepped, grinded and repaired, they were polished using our unique DiamondQuest polished concrete system. The floors were then burnished and a glossy sealer was applied for protection and increased shine to the floors.

Our crews completed the entire project quickly and efficiently in just 14 days. The result was a new polished concrete floor that gave Niehaus Lumber a new, refreshed and durable flooring system for their store.
